links to retail store sites

Astro Mechanics http://www.astromechanics.com
Located in Barrie at the Bayfield Mall. New and used products. Serving customers in English and French.

CAMTECH Photographic http://camtechphoto.com
A full service independent photographic store in Hamilton. They say they have the largest selection of telescopes in the Golden Horseshoe.

EfstonScience http://escience.ca
Toronto's science and astronomy "superstore." You can't (if heading along Toronto's Dufferin Ave south of the 401) miss it: they have the huge telescope on the roof! This is where I bought my Celestron SP-C8 catadioptric (and dew shield and dew heaters) from. I continue to visit for accessories, books, science gadgets. Lots of great stuff for kids. They also run observing sessions outside the city.

Gifts From The Earth
A little shop in Carrot Common on the Danforth, in Toronto. In addition to new age music and crystals, they have a few telescopes.

Kendrick http://kendrickastro.com
An astronomy shop in Toronto. These guys are the makers of my dew removal system! This is where I bought Mom's Telrad, Sky & Telescope Messier Card, and new 2" mirror. Update: retail outlet closed; Kendrick will continue to sell their products (on-line only)...

Khan Scope Centre http://khanscope.com
Another local Toronto shop where I did a lot of research before I bought my first scope and where I have bought a few accessories, including a new eyepiece, and a green laser. They too are along "telescope alley," on Dufferin St, just below the 401.

KW Telescope and Nature http://kwtelescope.com
A highly recommended shop serving the Kitchener-Waterloo area.

Perceptor http://perceptor.ca
For those in the north-west (in Schomberg), Perceptor has been around for some time. But it is now under new management. Say hello to Jerry.

RadioWorld http://radioworld.ca
A great store for radio equipment, obviously, at the Vaughan-Toronto boundary. They also carry stationary and mobile weather stations. There is where I ordered and bought my Oregon Scientific portable unit. Finally, they sell a few telescopes.

Science City http://www.sciencecity.ca
Another local Toronto store with science and astronomy items. Lots of great stuff for kids. I've bought many a Space Pen and planisphere here! Located at the Centre of the Universe, Yonge and Bloor, in Toronto... ;-)
