Series 4
What's New
Welcome to our newest section. Here we intend to report on new, late-breaking news on
all matters PSION. With a slant to the Canadian market (which is looking a little gloomy
at the moment). Enjoy!
1998
- Thursday 29 January
- The Series 5 price is now $795. This price does not include an AC adapter.
- Saturday 17 January
- Linked to our new communication solutions page (but
have yet to change the main page image).
- Friday 16 January
- Linked to Stefan's new buy & sell web page in our used PSIONs
page.
- Wednesday 14 January
- Heard there's a new beta of the Series 5 Messaging Suite going out to the EPOC gang.
That suggests a new version of the e-mail and web applications will be available soon...
- Tuesday 13 January
- Learned that MacConnect for the Series 5 is available in the US. That means it'll hit
Canada soon. Pricing to be provided from Syscan...
- Monday 5 January
- Discovered that the conversion of a dBASE III file to PSION Series 5 Data format failed
if the filename was in a long format, i.e. not 8.3 style! Temporarily renamed the file and
it converted fine!
- Friday 2 January
- I've been using Messaging Suite a lot over the holidays. While I miss an automatic
signature in outgoing e-mail messages, folders for incoming messages, support for
attachments, it did the job very well. I'm on the hunt for a portable modem. Then, I'll be
a very happy camper (and I'll send you an e-mail while camping, just to prove it!).
